A pro gambler can spend very few, even zero hours average hours per week in a casino. A pro need not travel and can play such that he gets backed off much less than recreational players or even never.
Not many can achieve the above, but those who so chose and have the necessary skills can.

For me, the lifestyle I live is far superior to what I had before with a good "normal" job. My life is a dream and everyone else seems to think so also (they didn't think so when I was a successful scientist). And then again I can say that I chose not to play pro soccer because I don't like that lifestyle. Yeah, easy for me to say because I would have sat the bench. Entirely a different story for a Landon Donovan or a Pele.

I think there is a real opportunity to throw a monkey wrench into the works, and at least confuse the situation. It would seem to be worth a try. Besides, the casinos don't always win, do they? And, lots of issues are quietly settled favorably for individuals.

Reread what was written at that time. I said Grosjean could not get a $5,000 SCORE playing blackjack, even with 100% knowledge of a hole card. The game described was not blackjack. I further stated in a post in response to G-Morgan I disagreed with nothing he said and I do not.

Where I found I was in error was a talented and skillful hole carder can find readable cards much more often than I believed and I acknowledged that mistake. My comments on the upper limits of SCORE for blackjack were accurate. However, DD' in a post described the ability to be a talented and skillful hole carder as a skill not dissimilar to hitting major league pitching, putting such an ability impossible for most of us to attain. People with talent in anything are to be admired and certainly admire Barry Bonds. But I guess a thing I admire about Barry Bonds even more than his skills is that he does not go around bragging about his skills. I find it somewhat harder to admire a bragger, even a bragger with special skills to brag about.

Trying a citizen's arrest on a casino security guard is a great way to experience false charges, arrest, time in jail, front-page coverage in the book, and internal injuries.

You're confusing the issue. No one is saying you cannot win a civil case vs the casinos. It has happened before, and will continue to happen. No one is saying you can't avoid detention by pointing out a few facts to unknowing security guards. However, the issue here is the absurd notion that metro is going to arrest a security guard for handcuffing a counter and dragging him through a casino for no reason and then be held criminally accountable if they don't. This will just never happen in Vegas, where the police literally have a liscense to kill and from what I understand, it's even worse in the south (where's DD'?).

ML, may I ask what planet you're currently residing on? I'm glad you and Bootlegger have used sports analogies in your responses as it brings up a good point in answering the recreational wannabes like Sentry, Wally, Starfish etc.

Barry Bonds doesn't brag? Are you sure about that one? He is considered the most arrogant athlete in sport! In fact, most top athletes (and Boot just compared top bj players to athletes) are the biggest trash talkers! Jordan and Bird come directly to mind also.

The issue has been addressed in the several posts I have made on this subject in this thread. As any advantage player should know, one incident does not a precedent make.

I get sick of people not being able, for example, to see where a card in a double deck game has one wear mark, near a corner, and is about 8 cards from the top, as per banger theory I have posted on, is a tremendous advantage to you if you can arrange for that card to come to your spot as one of your first two cards. Depending one whether it is toward or away from the dealer means the difference between 12% and 52% on that hand, your advantage!

The money and low long run index (High SCORE) that this provides make me damn reticent to post on how to do a sim for the average predictions needed for banger bends. That is especially true when

Gee I can get the equivalent of having a coupon ace about every 15 hands if I steer the cards right. But the clones would refuse to read this unless the difference in effects of removal is included in such an estimate, because the steering of that ace to you is not the same as having a coupon ace. So the clone will wait until the difference between 52%, and a variable number between 52.7% and 52.1%, depending upon the number of decks, is specified.

That is why the pros who refuse such nonsense get labeled crude or stupid because their refusal to play "that" game appears to be the inability to play that game. Personaly I "waste" that time and effort on more important issues such as trying to establish a new version of pure trust, that relates to a flawe US pleading relating to personal issues and trying to steer a license revocation proceding against my ex-inlaws in the casino biz---and doing quite well at both thankyou very much, where blackjack or physics is a hobby comparably.

the only distinctions that I observe between the Free pages and the Green Chip pages are (1) a very nominal fee and (2) a more civil tone on the Green Chip pages (excluding, of course, the Non-Gambling page of which you are a very active participant). Your real name has been bantered around for many years on this website as well as RGB (and maybe Arnold's). So it should not be a startling revelation to most posters, unless you are trying to be incognito to the neophytes. For that I do apologize but it is certainly not "bad manners". If I had revealed Kim Lee's real name, that certainly would have much worse than "bad manners".

Bragging is talking about one's special attributes. Magnifying attributes is not bragging, it is deceiving. The self-styled pros on this board who seem to have an animus against card counting posts are braggers.

The point of the post was it is a fabrication to attribute things to me I did not say. I said blackjack cannot have a $5,000 SCORE. I never said no game played favorably could not have a $5,000 SCORE. In fact, I agreed with Grosjean's methodology in SCORING his game as $5,000 in a post. Criticise me for what I say, not for your fabrication of what I said.

You are not the only one. Other people have made the same fabrication and they are lying about what I said the same as you are.
