Casino employees
You know, sometimes I actually find myself defending casino employees. Especially ones who are honest about what their intentions are. I especially like dealers who will let me play as long as I give them a pleasant demeanor and some tips. I find you a little ingenuous about your motivation but that is no great sin. I suspect you think you will not get authentic answers if you are upfront about what your job is. We used to have a mix of dealers, games supervisors, and others in dialogue on the old Midwest Red Chip page. We learned a lot about the different camps and had some fun in the process. There are people on bjfo who are very candid about who signs their checks, too. I welcome casino employees who want to contribute to our message groups.
Not everyone shares my tolerance for 'the enemy.' Some might think you are looking for 'tells' that are not so obvious in identifying counters and other advantage players. Do we have reason to worry about casino interest on our public pages? Of course. It happens regularly. Cellini was the primary messenger that we are our own worst enemies when it comes to revelations that have helped casinos identify counters. My opinion is any casino that might want to defend itself against counters should have one employee designated to monitor the free boards and if possible gain entry to membership pages. There are infiltrators....some who have been around for years now. Mostly the problem is that search functions allow anyone to check up on their pet casino just by plugging in a keyword. A secondary flaw is unsophisticated players who want to give out every detail on a public board.
I have found that there is very little sympathy for casino employees here because so often someone gives the story that they are just curious..... curious as to how they can move up the management ladder as fast as possible. Now if you are looking to gain some skills for your own game that is a different matter entirely.
Feel free to post and ask questions....and thanks for answering my question, too.
