i heard this discussion has gone on for a very long time.
i dont like the result of info being sold. however i cannot disagree with wat BJT is doing.
lets look at wat most of us here r. we r APs .. APs take good opportunities and make money from it.
and BJT is a professional AP hence it is only natural that he would take advantage of all ways of making money. and selling info is one of the ways to gain.
some of u will say, how about keeping that info to himself and his partners and make more money out of it..
in comes "variance", if he or his partners play, mathematically they will probably make more money however there will be risks.
by selling info BJT will gain when his client makes money, or get nothing if his client doesnt win. 0 risk.
ask any real pro abt to choose, mathematically make more money with risk, or make less with 0 risk. 100% of them will choose the latter.
the second issue would be his clients, most of them will be big players who probably got barred from most of the good games, and to them time is money. and believe me it aint cheap flying around to look for playable places, and the wasted time from flying to non-playable places can be very costly as well. those AP's know their edge and they would only become BJT's clients if they know their can gain from it.
alot of u would probably think that i m saying all these becos i'm a frd of BJT's. but the fact is that i'm actually a victim of this info selling, the place i played at is now swarmed with APs the once counter friendly joint is now getting uptight abt suspected counters and one of my partners is barred becos of it.
if u asked me whether i like the idea of info selling and getting a joint burnt, i would say i hate it!!
but if u asked me whether info selling is wrong, i would have to say that it is not wrong at all, its just another way of Advantage play. very much like a card counter cannot just say that clumping is wrong, a clumper cannot say that an ace tracker is wrong, nor can the ace tracker say that a steerer is wrong.
