You don't get it #2
"If I found a 2to1 BJ game and got barred, I would only share it with people I consider friends and only for free. I would refuse to get a payment from a friend for info. I wouldn't share such valuable information with people whom I don't consider friends."
BJT is a professional. In his business (as with many others), discovery, improvement of and dissemination of info has value and can be viewed as a service. He has a right to charge for this as does anyone. If he can make a living at this then he SHOULD look at this activity as a business.
When confronted with dealing with friends, some may opt to avoid completely. That is ok and depends on their comfort level. Others may work professionally with friends and charge a lower rate or full boat (their choice).
Say you own a garage that services cars. You can refuse to do business with friends or not. But if you service their cars, do you do it for free?
Loyalty to friends is a great value. But different people can and should make different choices depending on their opportunity set and their circle of friends. That can be done ethically, honestly and with loyalty. Who are we to question?
