I’m willing to learn. Speaking of single decks, I know for sure that these dealers are trained up. They will shuffle the deck at any point during dealing.

With single deck they normally have a set number of rounds based on number of players. For example typically have seen 4 rounds with 3 players at the table or just 3 rounds for 3 players, dictated by casino or bosses to the dealers. But if the dealer thinks they don’t have enough cards for the last round they are allowed to shuffle early, so 2 or 3 rounds, and you don’t get a last round at what would typically be a high count since if deck is light many cards were used, typically lower value cards. This results in a cut card effect lowering your chances. And single deck basic strategy and indices should be looked at before playing since they have a number of differences compared to multi deck.
Dealing 100% through there’s no cut card effect. Years ago Vegas World had a 100% penetration single deck that only payed even money on blackjack. It was not bad, could bet way up on high counts toward the end and take insurance if dealer had an ace up at high counts at the end. Vegas World owner Bob Stupak declared “Card counters are invited”.
There’s a single deck 6:5 game at Jamul in San Diego that has decent penetration but the table is often crowded and the casino is smoky, nothing that special but is ok. I think there are still some number 6:5 single deck games around the US, dunno the good ones. Dunno if Reno or Laughlin still have any 3:2 single deck games with rule restrictions.
