How does one avoid being a stereotype counter?

Hi. From my readings I am understanding that the way casinos stereo type counters (by looks that is) are:

White male. Young. Casually dressed. American (As opposed to say obviously looking asian). Thin (Instead of fat). Quiet. Doesn't talk much with the other players or dealer or pit boss.

So if one is white, I suppose makeup would be the only way to solve that correct?

Young? Well how much is young?

Casually dressed can be fixed I suppose. Dress either like crap or a nice 3 piece suit. Sound right? Eye glasses would probably be a poor choice correct? As glasses tend to make you "look" smarter right?

American? Does this mean anyone other than asian or any other obvious facial feature? What does "American" mean anyway?

I suppose that since being quiet is bad, one must work on their chatting skills while counting.

Being thin? How does a pro counter go from skinny to fat without a body suit?

So is wearing dingy clothes and not shaving at least a small help in dodging this stereotype? I've heard that having a beard is actually bad. I thought it would be good though, as it looks like you aren't so "clean cut" and "smart".

Just become an overweight middle age African American woman who is making friends and telling stories to everyone at the table.

Seriously, I do know the above woman but look around the casino and you will find that there are plenty of plenty of young, white, thin men dressed casually and they are not cardcounters, nor do the casinos think they are.
My style may not fit everyone but I like to talk to both pits and dealers and have no problem doing this while keeping a count and making the correct decisions. Dress like the average guy your age who plays for the amounts you play. If you play high limit you may need to dress up some, look at the other players. Someone sizing up a guy in this case will generally look at both your shoes and watch first. Nice shoes and if you do not want to splurge for a good watch there are decent knock-offs all over.
If you are a red chip player you are probably being overly paranoid but casual is the way to go.

Finally, if you are fairly new to this and your question leads me to that conclusion, the writers of books plant paranoia into the brains of many new players. At most casinos red chip players can spread plenty and not worry as long as they are not too obvious or show some casino employee up. If you frequent the same place often then even if you get no head a red chipper can get tossed because of lifetime win, so you might get into ratholing. Overall, without knowing more about your game and what area you play in, I think you are perhaps worry about something that needs little worry unless you overly concentrate on the cards or one can read your lips.

Learn not to look like you're studying the cards and discard tray, keep on the dealer's good side (you can get away with a lot more if they like you), tip as little as possible, and, last but not least, keep a good cover story handy to explain why you travel a lot and bet large sums of money (sometimes). Use something you're familiar with. Talk about it until they wish you'd just shut up and play blackjack. I used to tell people I design and maintain websites for various large companies, charge a ton of money, and still have more business than I can handle.

Nobody will care if you talk to them at all. Maybe bite your nails and naw your cuticles after telling your table mates that you examine buttholes for a living.
