*YAWN*
First things first, how I make money to support myself and my son is no one's business but my own.
You're the one who made it everyone's business by posting about it here.
Secondly, just because I busted out overbetting a bankroll hail-mary style in no way says that I "can't cut it" as an advantage player, but I'm taking time to save up money to do it right this time.
Yeah, ok. Whatever you say.
Finally, dealing is one of the best part-time jobs imaginable. The pay for the work required is fantastic, and with a prorated 15 minute paid break every hour, it pays nearly as well as my current job.
So, if I'm reading this right, dealing is a great job for a lazy person. Good to know and I guess that explains the bit above. Successful advantage play is hard and trying work. I'm sure there are those far wiser than I laughing at that remark but that has certainly been my experience.
The casinos are no more or no less evil than any other business out there trying to make money. Why is a casino evil, but a Radio Shack salesman selling you a giant -EV extended warranty not? From where I see it, the casino is the last vestige of Darwin's ideal left in the world, so maybe, just maybe, they're not as evil as people make them out to me.
I'd rather not launch into an extended diatribe here (really, what would be the point?) so I'll just say that the above statement looks to me like something a person completely bankrupt in moral substance would make. If you deny the FACT that casinos as a whole are reprehensible in their operations, then I'm not going to waste my time trying to convince you otherwise. Sensible people are already well aware of this truth. I'm a professional player but if I could snap my fingers and wipe all casinos from the face of the Earth, I would in a heartbeat and go find another way to earn a buck. And as for the last vestige of Darwin's ideal...where in 'Origin of the Species' does it say "The ploppies shall be shamelessly and relentlessly bilked."? Maybe I'm a hopeless idealist, but I've always thought there was more to life than making a fast buck or getting over on the next guy.
