Some Details
First of all, Shufflemaster (the dominant brand) sells or leases only to casinos. So, the only way you could possibly get one is from from a casino, and I doubt they would want to sell you one either. Furthermore, I would guess Shufflemaster takes the trade ins as part of new sales.
FYI, the average sale price of a new machine is around $10k. (Shufflemaster's 4Q financials show $10.4 million of sales on 1050 units.)
Also, the new generation of machines ("King" and "Ace") eject (deal) the cards randomly based upon a computer program, so you're not looking at a mechanical shuffle.
