When a Casino is sold, does player card information go with it?

Hello everyone,

Some months back I was backed off at Mirage and assume that a notation was made on my players card account alerting all MGM properties to the incident.

In light of the announced sale of Treasure Island and the potential that MGM will need to unload another property before the economy turns around, I was wondering how player information is treated during a sale.

If it was a single Casino operation I would guess the information stays with the Casino, however, the information collected at TI is property of the entire MGM brand and I find it hard to believe they would turn that over with the sale of a single property.

Any input would be greatly appreciated. Thank you for your time.

I would wonder if the backoff is binding under new ownership.

Phil Ruffin would get TI's database, not the entire MGM/Mirage database. If you don't give TI a reason to look you up and put a comment in their system your name should be clean in their players system there after the ownership changes.

There is a chance that TI might be able to keep their copy of the MGM/Mirage surveillance room photo database (which is separate from player tracking). If that is the case it will be like the Griffin book, you'll be buried in there until someone starts to get suspicious about you and decides to see if your photo is in there. However, usually by that time you're toast anyway.
