If DD' says it works for him, you can pretty much take it to the bank, IMHO. He is a real pro, and I'm just a ham-and-egger. He's also the most valuable poster to this site. Once again, JMHO.
I recognize my lack of trust as a character flaw, but there must be a reason God (nature, evolution, take your pick) made us all different.

we'd have no way of confirming the figure for a wager. It is possible for someone who was a long term winner with an acceptable win rate to have been skimming small bits all along the way. I don't think that's the case, but it is possible. I also worry about a fairly honest person making a "loan" from the trip stake with the intention of repaying from future winnings... winnings that never materialize. This is why I'm generally hesitant to take on people who are in very poor financial situations. The temptation is too great. This is why it is so difficult to build a good team of this type. Most honest, stable, responsible people already have jobs.
