What does "SC" stand for in CBJN?
I recently recieved my first copy of Current Blackjack News and I am unsure what the abbreviation "SC" means. I checked the BJ Glossary and could not find anything.

I think it means "shuffle card". There is a card, usually colored plastic, inserted in the deck. When that card comes out, it signals the dealer to shuffle after the hand is over.
Based on where this card is placed, you can tell what the penetration is.

This is generally for single deck and double deck games. At most places, the dealer goes by feel and has some discretion as to when to shuffle.
