Vegas single-deck games..?

I'm interested in any/all suggestions regarding player-favorable (ie good pen,3:2 payoffs on naturals, amenable doubling/splitting rules,
surrender options..ad infinitum) single-deck games in Vegas. I'm a subscriber to CBJN and will have that info when I visit in April; and I realize I'll have to do some scouting on my own at the time since these games apparently change daily. I'll be applying a counting system (customized KO preferred)for the initial time during this visit. Where would any of you seasoned Vegas BJ players suggest I
scout for decent game/s ? From the current CBJN info, it appears El
Cortez (been there previously) may be a reasonable choice. It might not be a bad place to get tossed out of for counting cards (or attempting to), as I recall. Thanks..

It is offered only at three downtown dumps; one table at the Western with only a $100 max; El Cortez, playable for more than five minutes only at very low stakes, and Four Queens, a ripoff because it uses a cut card. Four Queens is the only casino in Nevada sleazy enough to use a cut card at a single deck game.

For single deck, go to Reno or Wendover.

Well..5 minutes might be enough there (El Cortez). I usually play 6-deck games, anyway. Any suggestions for stores who have decent 6- deckers in Vegas? Am I restricted to the outlier / "locals" joints (not that they would be a negative if it's a decent game).
My total BJ bankroll will be approximately 5,000..if that
helps with any suggestions you might have. Thanks for the response...

Heck, multiple of the MGM Mirage properties offer shoe games with all the trappings, S17, DAS, LS, RSA. You might even find some $10-$15 minimums at MGM Grand.

(with a $5k bankroll, I still wouldn't recommend playing every hand).

I played at the Excalibur in Jan.There was a single deck game with a $10.00 min.

The game you played at the Excalibur payed only 6:5 on naturals, making it far far worse than any shoe game you will ever encounter. Only three stores left in Vegas with SD paying 3:2 on naturals, and all are downtown. The traditional 3:2 SD game is several years removed from the Las Vegas Strip.
