I like this book. It is a well-written introduction to the real world of casinos and blackjack. The book is primarily intended for the masses, rather than to the accomplished advantage player. Among other things, it debunks common ploppy voodoo in an entertaining, fast-paced style. It will be a helpful gift to a spouse or other family members who may be reluctant to accept or understand your interest in advantage play. Even if you are already a skilled player, I recommend this 188-page book as enjoyable reading.
The publisher's comments:
The Blackjack Zone is for the average player who wants to know what works, what doesn't and why. In a casual, humorous, and easy-to-read manner, Eliot Jacobson takes you through basic strategy, the skills necessary to survive as a hobbyist, and then on to card counting and advantage play.
The Blackjack Zone explains:
What Basic Strategy is and how to use it
How to become an advantage player
How to choose the right game, dealer and casino
How to separate myths about blackjack from the realities of the game
How to think like a winner and much more
