Hi, could someone please tell what the best and most accurate count system is. I dont mean the easiest to play or most practical, just the most accurate values for each card. If someone has some info for me it would be much appreciated, thanks.
The best count for betting is the Thorp Ultimate. It is a level 11 count. The best count for playing is the Gordon count with sidecounts of 6,7,8,9, and A. The best count for insurance is the insurance count. I would say that the best possible count overall for let's say single deck, Reno rules, 75% pen is the Victor APC followed closely by Hi Opt II. Both of these counts have an ace sidecount. The Gordon count would be the best count to play (see bjmath.com search engine) but the multi paramater approach is meant for a mutant not a human. The most accurate betting count may be RAPC 1971 or Wong halves .

But if you're asking what counting strategy is the most accurate (Playing Efficiency), then is the Uston APC (being 69% P.E.)The point assignments are 2s=+1 3s&4s=+2 5s=+3 6s&7s=+2 8s=+1 9s=-1 10s=-3 Aces=0. The problem with Uston APC is that it's fairly hard for the average gambler to deal with this level-3 system. Most likely you will calculate the numbers incorrectly and thus ruin the count which will affect your play substantially for the worse. I personally think it's not worth the effort to practice this system because it'll work my brain too damn hard. Also, a fast dealer will be your worse enemy. I'd also like to add that there is a counting system that is even more efficient than the U-APC. It's called the Lima count, credited to John May. The P.E. is a whopping 88% but includes a drawback that the Betting Efficiency is only 65%. Betting is more important, that's why Hi/Lo or K-O dominates in that region.
I heard the Revere Advanced Point Count was the most powerful system, does anyone agree with that?
I mean real shoe. My red slippers are adorable but should I wear them at the ambassador's reception? Should I go fishing in the river with a pair of italians? Do I put on boots to play some hoops ? Each of these shoes meets the basic specifications of a shoe, such as foot protection, etc. Each of these shoes also excels at something and may be considered as "the best" for a specific purpose.
Actually, multiparameter betting is much stronger than Thorp Ultimate. Peter Griffin discusses this in Theory of Blackjack, and I've come up with a better primary count than the one he suggests.

A couple of corrections. First, the PE and BC are reversed. It is impossible to have a PE much higher than 70% with a single count. Also, this count was discovered years before John May called it "Lima" in his book, by myself and others. I've made dozens of posts about the 3-7 vs. 10 count since 1997, and Pete Moss actually used his own version in casino play.
If you don't want to keep any side counts, then the best system would be one that gives the ace a lower value than the 10, such as the Zen. In certain games, a 3-level count that counts the ace as either -2 (emphasis on betting) or -1 (emphasis on playing) could also be ideal.
...as you are of course well aware T-H, multi-parameter playing strategy has come a long way since the Gordon, Hi-Opt, and Heath systems.

...common sense should tell you it doesn't have a .88 PE. Additionally UAPC isn't even close to the best PE system, and your comments about difficulty are irrelevant as Ken specifically stated that ease of use was not a factor in his query.

Uston SS unbalanced works great for me and it happens to be a level 3 count with Ace = -2. It's easy to use also, as so many + and - cards cancel each other out. Not that hard to adjust it for true counting insurance/+4 playing decisions, if you want to improve playing efficiency in double deck.
Many counters seem to think learning powerful count systems are a waste of time and the gain is small. I'm probably one of the few who disagree. How many table hours of the apc have you put in so far and are you experiencing a better win rate than your former count system?On average how many units an hour have you won?

I have started using KO, and Im doing OK. What method should I try next to improve my return? I'm more intrested in BE then PE.
There is no single best system. However, I have used 4 or 5 systems and I'll tell you the one which has yielded me the best win rate and is practical in a casino setting is The Hi-Opt II with an ace side count. This is particularly true for Single and double deck games.For a multi-deck game, i would recommend simple Hi-Lo. I am a fan of the AO II as well but it is more work than the Hi-Opt II, and the win rates are about identical. Hi-Opt II is sharper for insurance because it doesnt value 9's. Good luck.
