I am obviously still a novice, but for those who care to indulge me:
If a casino deals by rounds and not by a card, is a cut card still inserted and dealt out by the dealer and later given to a player to cut? It seems I remember a yellow card flying out of the deck even when the dealer was dealing by rounds instead of by the cut card (i.e., after the yellow card came flying out, she still dealt one or two more rounds). Is this possible?
Once the cut card comes out in the middle of a round, the dealer suppose to finish the round and then shuffles. If the dealer gave a second full round after the card came out, this could mean one of two thing. The dealer forgot or the dealer wanted to be nice and ignored casino instructions. The latter does not happen often but it does happen. The variation comes when the cut card comes out at the start of the round before any cards are dealt. In some casinos they will play this round, but most will not.
there is usually still a cut card on the bottom of the deck used to protect the identity of the bottom card and to prevent the dealer from dealing the bottom card. That is the card players use to cut the deck.
