RFID chip question

I sometimes see references to Casinos that use RFID chips.  As a straight counter,  what affect does that have on me, if any?  I assume that the RFID is typically in purple and above chips, but maybe black too and doubtful in green or red.  I suspect that they can more accurately and quickly track my betting but they can do that visually.  Perhaps the concern is when cashing in chips but they already have protections in that area.  Ratholing?  Maybe but probably not an issue.  Am I overlooking something?

The primary reason for RFID chips would have to be to detect counterfeiting. With all those chips stacked up next to each other separated by much less than a wavelength there's no way to get a usable signal out of them. Same reason why when you have two RFID hotel room keys in an envelope they usually don't work, you have to present only one to the reader.

I'm not so sure about problems reading multiple RFID tokens at once.

I've played places with RFID  chips where the dealer hits a button before dealing and the amount bet on each spot is recorded. Another example of reading multiple RFID tokens in close proximity is at the US/Canada border where you can hold up several Nexus cards as you drive past the reader and it reads them all easily.

Hotel room keycard readers are likely programmed to operate in the presence of only a single key card for security reasons.

I was in Harrah's north of San Diego a few years ago when they were installing RFID chip sensors under the betting squares on all their table games. A floorman explained that was so they could be sure to award your comps. Yeah, sure!

I have played mid green to light black since then without any problems.

If you want your bet registered "correctly" tape a black chip to your knee and place it near the underside of the betting circle.
