A friend gave me a really terrible ploppy-style BJ book, "Take the Money and Run." It has some good basic strategy advice and lots of common misconceptions. I quote those at the table for camouflage. So, there is useful value even in bad books.

Also, I played in marching band and I think it helped. I notice that some dealers definitely deal in rhythm. You can fall into step with them and comfortably increase your hands per hour.
