I expected a response like this from one of his followers. My only concern was to speak the truth as this site is read by people from all over the country and they don't deserve to be mislead with propaganda from Yukon Jack and his band of dreamers. Obviously, you prefer to live in fanatasyland and believe the illusion. Their response to my posts was to call me "troll", "crappy", etc. Where were you complaing about all their insults directed at me? Nowhere, that's where. I simply responded. Las Vegas is no longer good for high limit play for any sustained period as you will be thrown out fairly quickly. That he wants to tell people that they can start with red chips and make $150,000 before having a problem in today's game is misleading to those who don't know any better. It is also amusing to see all his hero worshippers make fool of themselves trying to defend this. People all over America may read that and may spend hundreds of hours of practice, thousands of their money, as well as all their time and effort chasing their false hope. Your hero worship is both misguided and unfortunate. Do the numbers. Reality is not optional. I hope you recover.

No it isn't. It is being done right now. Just because you find someing impossible doesn't mean it is. An analogy (which I am fairly sure is wasted), you would probably find it impossible to make an NBA roster. But that doesn't mean it is impossible for others to make an NBA roster. Sure it may be tough and more fail than make it, but it can be done.

Hmm, another mischaracterization on your part. I specifically said people are earning a living, with blackjack being their only source of income, not that they were just 'playing'. People have made more than $150,000 dollars and are still playing.

There are still plenty of places that allow moderate spreads at a low black level, especially when combined with other methods of play used to disguise the spread and enhance EV. Plus, the number of casinos in Vegas accepting black chip play has simply exploded in the last decade, allowing one to make up in quantity the loss of quality.

Let's see, so far you have resorted to namecalling, mischaracterizing others words, and have completely ignored simple logic. So far you haven't done anything legitimate to support your arguments. Keep posting along these lines and I will keep pointing out the flaws and illegitimacy of your arguments.

The only real evidence you have offered up supporting your viewpoint is that you cannot get enough play to make $150,000 in Vegas. I have already shown why this doesn't apply to everyone. You will need to offer up evidence supporting your position.

The change was purely for grammatical purposes and I didn't intend for it to mean anything different than what the original author meant. It is my opinion that you are intrepeting it differently as a desperate attempt for more ammo. But, as clarification, your interpretation of my words was wrong. I didn't mean for it to be intrepreted as they made their money long ago and are still playing today. I meant that is the most immediate past they have made $150,000. Meaning over the most recent 8 to 20 months they have made $150,000 and are continuing to make money.

To put it in the clearest possible terms, I know of at least two people who have made their living with blackjack as their only source of income for the last five years. All of their expenses and everything they own has been paid for out of their winnings. Each of them has won at least $150,000 over the last two years and both fully expect to win over $150,000 over the next two years (under todays conditions). It is still possible to win $150,000 playing blackjack. People are doing it right now.

All of these statements can be summed up as you think it is impossible to win $150,000 playing blackjack with today's conditions. All you have offered up as evidence is your experience as you have found it impossible to win $150,000. Unfortunately for your claim, there are people winning $150,000 under today's blackjack conditions. Your experiences don't prove anything about everybody's opportunities in general, just your own specifically.

but I thought the original premise was that a "red-chipper" could start out and make $150K in a year. That seems like a daunting task, as as a red-chip player myself most of the time, I have made over $1K multiple times over a thousand hands or so, which would pretty well represent a long day of playing, should you be able to do it non-stop. In my case that $1K usually came over 2-3 days of playing, which would make it very difficult to parlay it into $150K over a year...

Perhaps I missed something along the way and the discussion diverged, but in my case, I've been backed off playing $5-$40 spreads in a 2D game and $5-$100 in a 6D game multiple times before I started keeping the playing sessions very short. Very short translates into way more travel time than playing time, which further makes that $150K look tough. Now were someone bettng purple or yellow, things would change as it only takes a few hands to make some real money, but again, I think the original idea was red-chip play...

Building from red to green to black over 5 yrs, but not leaving Las Vegas. Also under conditions found in today's Vegas. Using Today's advantage play on BlackJack only, I'm with the group saying it can be done.

Some say it can't be done because they can't do it. I think that a new face could grow that amount before getting backed off to the point they would run out of games. That's the task.
