It seems to me that a reasonable compromise, without using a system and bet spread optimized for this game, would be to simply drop your normal betting schedule by 4 TC. That would allow you to get the majority of the benefit from the bonus without undue risk. You could also place your max bet off the top, which should make you look less like a counter.
I did a 6-deck sim using standard Hi-Lo, and it shows that you have more than a percent-and-a-half advantage at TC 0, and you still have a small advantage at TC -3. So, for betting purposes at least, Hi-Lo adjusted by 4 TC seems to be good enough.
