i was fooling around with bjrm and punched in a 1-4 spread black on a 6 deck game. wong in at +2(1.2% edge)using ubz2,s17 das 4.5/6 and came up with 41.00 per 100.how is that possible.i know the shoe game sucks but could it really be that bad.did i screw up the sim?
However, you only play perhaps 20m an hour and most of your time is spent on the waiting. Unless you got really sharp eyes, you appear to be very suspicious to pc. Certainly, you could wongin for one shoe only and leave for another store immediately after it is over. I would recommend that you wongout at negative -1 and increase your spread to 1-6.
...$49/100. Remember this is per 100 hands observed, not played. You would play only 11.5% of the time and expect to win over $400 on those hands, to make up for all the down time. With these rules and a 1-4 spread you are better off wonging in at RC=-2 ($61/100). If you can find 5/6 pen you can make $81/100. If you can find LS you can make $86/100. If you can spread 1-6 you can make $94/100. Is that starting to sound better?

I'll admit that I'm no expert on unbalanced counts, but according to BJRM, at this game you have an edge with a UBZ RC as low as -10.
wonged in at-6 and came up with 95 buckaroos per 100 observed.much better.im no expert on shoes,but i remember dd saying its not worth spreading to 1-6 because the heat/reward isnt much better with a smaller spread when you play shoes.btw,if someone were to spread 1-6 he would have to use green and black which draws more heat.yes/no????
ubz2 starts off at -24.bjrm only goes back to -14.if i were to play the first hand from a shoe,which is -24 and play until it goes BELOW -24), how much do i lose from the 95.00 per 100.that means i would be playing alot of -20.-18..-14..you get the picture.
The win rate for the 1-6 spread I quoted used the same unit as the 1-4 spread, so it would require a much larger bankroll for the same risk of ruin. Sorry to mislead you.
With a fixed bankroll, 1-6 wins only slightly more per hour than 1-4, but you can wong in at -6 rather than -2. You'll have to decide whether it's better to play more hands with a smaller unit and larger spread, or fewer hands with a larger unit and smaller spread. Whether or not you have to make awkward bets with multiple denominations may also be a factor.
