What are some good books on Pot Limit Omaha poker for a beginner? Looking at Amazon.com there seems to be quite few books on this subject. I'm sure, like blackjack, there are a lot that belong in the trash can. I don't know enough about PLO to be able to separate the junk from the good stuff.
Thank you,
JB
To keep this blackjack related...I recently went on a cruise ship that had blackjack. They had one table of single deck with that bullshit 6:5. Was happy to see that nobody was ever playing it when I was there. The other tables were 8 deck, H17, NRSA. However, heat was non-existent and the pen was 7.5/8!!!! Shuffle was a 2 pass S and RS with three piles. Table max was only $300. Over the course of the cruise I was able to come away with an 80 unit win. I hadn't played blackjack in several years (I did brush up on my counting skills for about a week before the cruise just in case they had a semi-decent game. It came back pretty easy and I actually remembered most of the I-18.) It felt good to play some blackjack again and then to come away with a win after not playing for a while made the experience even better!
The first few shoes I played ended with pretty high counts and I was skeptical for a while, but then I started getting some shoes where the count would be negative at the end the end of the shoe. Probably could have done some tracking if I had been practicing.
Might get back into playing blackjack again, but will have name/ID problems (especially at HET properties)...hence my above request for PLO poker books. We'll see.
Thanks,
JB
