Playing Multiple Hands

So Im playing 2x right now, but the swings are very massive, Im trying to figure out the math of playing 3 or 4x. The main focus is to lower the swings and ROR, Im not to focused on increasing EV right now. The only countable tables are in high limit and are $25-1000, so Im really trying to lower variance with a small roll, this casino knows im counting but all they ever do is half shoe me (lets say 3.5 deck pen), i know you guys will likely say to avoid it, but thats not a solution im looking for.

My spread: avoiding -1, 1x25, +1 2x50, +2 2x100, +3+ 2x150.  $55 EV/h,
now for standard deviation: 67% -1700 to +2400, 95% -3900 to +4500.

Im trying to figure out what the standard deviations would be for:

avoiding -1, 1x25, +1 2x50, +2 4x50 (3x75 if they wont allow that), +3+ 4x75 (or 3x100), 

IF you could show me how to calculate it, that would be awesome thanks!
if there are draw backs to playing more than 2 hands Id love to know about that!

Hey Don, thanks for replying! I read through Chapter 2 'Betting Techniques and Win Rates' p.17-32 a few times, I didnt understand in table 2.4 where you show the difference between playing simultaneous hands why you didnt calculate money/round but instead did like a per shoe type of thing, UNTIL I finished writing my message to you, then i had the epiphany that playing 1x you play twice as many rounds/h than when you play 3x. 

Anyway, when HU with the dealer playing 1x 3.0/6 deck pen, dealing time is 6m, switching shoes 1m (since ATM I decreased the "shuffle time"), 60/7=8.57 shoes/h, if 1x you play 30 rounds/shoe, so 257 rounds/h, if 3x 15 rounds/shoe, so 129 rounds/h.

Because I am being half shoed and will continue to play there, cvcx deck pen only goes to 3.5 I was wondering how I could extrapolate that to 3.0 decks, for specifically EV/h, and ROR. I will be playing 1x til TC+1, then going 2x. because of this strategy it isnt worth playing 1x the whole way, as my roll is too small to play 2x the whole way through, so im cheating around it.
