Did anyone hear of one of the newer Casinos in Northern PA being hit for major bucks by an AP team within the last year or so? Any grapevine info or, better yet, links to news articles would be appreciated.
An unreliable source told me this happened. I would be very interested to read how they did it if this is true.

I hadn't heard about those. I'd better get up there soon. Seriously, why would you think you would find A.P. activity reported in the news or publicized somewhere? No doubt some of the teams have played PA thus far...some with more success than others.
The PA casinos have been going up for about the past couple of years, I think. I don't really play much anymore but I went to one right when the table games opened. I like doing that. Lot's of green dealers. Opening day at the MGM Detroit I made a small fortune off a roulette dealer who was paying double on strait-up numbers.(70-1 or whatever it is.)
The game was an OK 8-decker with fair pen and surrender. 6 decks in the hi-limit. I hear the pen got worse since. Overall, not worth the gas.

Yea, dumb to think that would be reported now that I think about it.
Anyhow, I decided to contact the person who told me this even though I don't know him very well. He told me a friend of his was playing there and they were half-shoeing the entire place. A dealer told him that it was because a team had just hit them up for a lot of money. So, basically it's hearsay crap.
I live in Pa. Heard nothing of this. Definitely not seeing 1/2 shoes at the 1 I frequent. My guess is this is the 6.8M$ taken from the Trop in AC by a high roller. You know how these stories get changed when passed on. "Believe 1/2 of what you see, and none of what you hear."

To most people, someone actually winning money from a casino would be a pretty rare and potentially newsworthy event. Don't you know that the obscene amounts of money people lose in casinos is just merely the "cost of entertainment"? And that if you are so fortunate as to win a session, you are supposed to tip all of that money to the rude, toke hustling dealers. C'mon BP, get with it!
