Outed By Coffee

Here's one for you. I was playing incognito at a casino where I am known as a counter when a waitress spilled a cup of coffee on me. I was not hurt, but the beverage manager wanted to call the paramedics. This would have certainly required me to tell them my name. I talked her out of it, cashed in and left.

I know you are all thinking "lawsuit", but that is not in my nature. I am proud to say through the whole thing I did not lose the count. I still wonder if security had the waitress do it to find out if it was me.

Fun Story, nice read! We need more quick to the point funny stories like that!

I do doubt, however, that they would use hot coffee for a ploy simply because some people are the kind who will try to sue for something like that.

Was at a MS coast casino, watching play at a $100 min table, had a guy there that was apparently a fairly new counter as he was really concentrating on the game. Pit boss is walking by and someone asks him something and he replies, reasonably loudly, "what is the count then?"

This guy, without batting an eyelash, says +5. Everyone freezes. He turns red. I walk away before I choke. I assume that he probably practiced a lot at home and had someone check him from time to time on his running count. :) We can be our own worst enemy at times...

This was maybe 18-24 months ago so it is way old. :)

Found a finger in the last batch of chips I bought in for at an unnamed MS coast casino. :)
