I've investigated this part myself using pjsatz's blackjack simulator at blackjack-hack.com. It seems KO has a smaller win amount per hour than Hi-Lo.

I've run some KO Preferred based sims (5B rounds) in CVCX (under "Create a New Sim") with (H17, DAS) plus(S17, DAS, SR) and the win/loss% I get at TC = 5 are in the 2.38% to 2.87% range and SCORE's ranging from 27.5 to 60.7.
Hi, I notice you are an intermediate AP player, so you must know this. What are the SCORE numbers of corresponding Hi-Lo, as a comparison?
With the OP's game parameters and bet spread, and the archived HiLo Full Indices sim, the SCORE I get in CVCX are:
H17,DAS: SCORE =28.82
S17,DAS, Sr: SCORE = 66.22
Thank you! I have looked more closely into this part. For a fixed bet spread of 1-8 and deck penetration of 60%, I studied a double-deck game of Hit-17, DAS, and Surrender, using nothing deviation except one deviation index of insurance (RC=+3 for KO and TC=+3 for HiLo). These are my numbers per 100 hands of playing:
For KO, EV = $22, SD = $353; SCORE = 37.
For Hi-Lo, EV = $22, SD = $340; SCORE = 40.

These are not end numbers. There is always a lot of room for improving the EV numbers. I’ve been waiting for you to post more of your CVCX numbers for better comparison. As always, a picture is worth 1000 words.
