Martingale vs Win progression (+ 50%)

Hello everyone,
I had a question on the two progressions. Which progression would yeild better results ? I know you can't win in the long run but just curious.
I tried running simulations but i can't find a program that will tell me the biggest number of straight losses or wins, can anyone tell me (8D,S17,DA2,DAS)?. Assuming a house edge of .5% and I have enough to cover 8 straight losses for martingale bets would I be better off playing even money on roulette ?

I once lost 21 hands in a row. you will be broke in days as 8 straight losses happens EVERY day.

My first session at a casino in London a couple of weeks ago I lost the first 8 hands right off the top of the first shoe.

Using a progressive system you are sure to go bust, its just a matter of when.

I know that progression systems dont work.
But today I made $1028.50 playing at an online casino. Biggest progression bet was $256 with 2 more loses i could have handled ($1024 max). Hit a $128 BJ too.
I know this is a flux and I will loose if I continue to play but it is so tempting. This wouldnt work in a regular casino ofcourse becasue of the table limits but the highest i've won at a regular casino has been $120 within 4 hours.
There is no break even progression system is there ? I tried messing around with some figures and didnt come up with one but maybe i'm missing something.

Thing I: If you are the person that e-mailed me today offering to pay me to analyze a progression system - there is a good reason that I turned you down. Progression systems don't work. It would be fraud to accept money to "analyze" a system known to fail. Besides I have never accepted money to analyze a system.

Thing II: The failure of progression systems has NOTHING to do with table limits. If you had infinite funds, infinite table limits and infinite time - a progression system would still fail - even given zero inflation and zero cost of funds.

I just get these requests every month. And the answer has been the same for centuries.

The Best Progression is a system where you bet the least amount possible. This is because on an average blackjack game the house has a .5% advantage over the player. The more money bet over a longer period of time the more money will be lost. The less money bet over that same amount of time the less money lost. Here is a simple yet effective equation to figure out your losses for ANY progression system. -.5% * Total Amount Bet = your long term losses. So if you have a simple 5 step Progression of $5 - $10 - $20 - $40 - $80 your total amount bet would be $155. Multiply that $155 by -.05 (or -.5%) and your loss would be $7.75.

That assumes you have an infinite amount of money and no table limits, which begs the question; If you have an infinite amount of money, why are you playing in the first place? Even then, if one can assume an infinite bankroll, one must also assume an infinite losing streak, which is theoretically possible. No matter how long a losing streak lasts, the probability of the next hand being a winning hand is exactly what it was on the very first hand you played.

I'm a college student with about $22K that I could play with. Since online casino's have huge table limits i've been playing them and winning money. One wouldn't need an infinite amount of money. I could deposit it to the casino and even with a $1 unit be able to play 13 lost hands.

Norm W. You said even with infinite cash and table limit, they would still lose ? How ? You would always end with a win, so at most you would just come out ahead 1 unit regardless of the game's edge.

Am I right or am i missing something ? You never lose so the edge doesn't even come into affect unless you dont have enough money to cover huge straight losses.
