While I still use a players card at many places outside of Vegas, I have gone "no card" at most all Vegas casinos. Having no fake ID and been blacklisted at nearly all the major chains (Harrahs, MGM, Station, etc) not many options.
I went ahead and tried Golden Nug downtown and got a card as I have not been backed off since they were part of MGM at least 15 years ago. I started with an hour at 6 deck betting quarters with minimal spread. No heat or pit boss on phone. Then I went to high limit pit and played 1-5 black dd for a short session (maybe 30 minutes). Fortunately or unfortunately, I had a decent size win of about $3000, but no heat. I even threw in $100 in slot play to try to establish a clean name. I thought I had established a clean name.
I returned 6 months later. Just to test the waters I played a short session anonymous at the dd with a $25-200 and no indication of heat. But when I tried the high limit pit, right after I gave card, I could see the pit boss look at the screen, look at me, and then pick up phone. I bolted out, but assume I would have been backed off quickly.
Should I just give up trying get comps/room in Vegas and just stick to short anonymous sessions?
Does Golden Nugget get from other chain?
PS. I still get free room offers from one craphole Downtown even though they have backed me off.
