all you can do
is base your assumptions on seen cards vs unseen cards. An unseen card that is out of play counts exactly the same as an unseen card that is in play. Yes, it hurts if more high cards are cut. It helps if fewer are cut. Our models are based upon what happens on average. The extent to which it hurts you, when it hurts you, is exactly proportional to the extent to which it helps you, when it helps you. You will have two extra favorable cards cut out of play with the same frequency that you will have two extra unfavorable cards cut out of play. So don't worry about it. If you knew the TC of the cards behind the cut card you would have much better information and a much bigger edge. It would be like backcounting a shoe for the first deck, or what ever amount is cut, and then coming into a game with 100% penetration.
