Convincing mathematically, but the CSM's used in the States just don't work the way he assumes.
There is a kind of cut-card effect with CSM's (see the Shufflemaster patent for more details), roughly equivalent to a cc about 7 cards deep, though it may be more or less depending on how long it takes for the cards to be put back in the machine. The effect can't easily be measured without extensive clocking, but it almost certainly results in a loss of expectation roughly equivalent to that of a cut-card.
Now I have no idea whether this guy is a shill for the casinos, but his argument is mathematically sound.
No, he isn't, though a few professionals (not me), have suggested he does not take a tough enough line with some of the online casinos he advertises. He also makes no secret of his desire to do casino consulting work, which is a colossal waste of talent in my opinion.
