Got to jump in and give you a friendly advice before you get too much bad advice around here.
Having a BJ career it may be a wonderful thing for others, but when your career takes over your life and you lose sight of who you are, that's not such a wonderful thing. It's been my experience, while playing BJ far more that I would encourage anyone, that for most people if you haven't taken care of yourself and discovered who you are, outside of what you do, it's nearly impossible to find balance in other areas of your life. For me, discovering what I wanted to be and where I wanted to go, has been extremely profitable.
I just want to say this,
Make sure you spend an adequate amount of time tapping into that source of spirituality in your life. Once you've determined who you are, the rest comes easy. You only get one shot at life. As important as careers are to all of us these days, without finding happiness, a career is just a shell that surrounds you. Careers are great, BJ is great if played the right way, money is great if you have the talent to make it, .., but no career no good time at the tables and no amount of money is worth the stress or losing sight of yourself.
Personally, I find the ability to see the funny side of everything and it makes so much easier to see the "big" picture, and most times makes life much more livable. So, treasure every moment that you have now.
Stop waiting until you finish school, until you go back to school, until you lose ten pounds, until you gain ten pounds, until you have kids, until your kids leave the house, until you start work, until you retire, until you get married, until you get divorced, until Friday night, until Sunday morning, until you get a new car or new home, until your car or home is paid off, until spring, until summer, until fall, until winter, until you are off welfare, until the first or fifteenth, until you've had a drink, until you've sobered up, .., until you die and decide that there is no better time than right now to be happy...
So, above all else . . . Take a good shot at this life .., because is the only chance that youll ever get!
