When hitting soft hands I always stop when I reach soft 18. Are there any times when you would hit a 3 or more card soft 18 based on the count?
Hit soft 18 vs. dealer's 9 or 10, and against dealer's A
up to a hi-lo true count of +1.
Like you, I never hit a soft 18 vs dealer's 2 through 8.
Never mind counting do you use basic strategy? You should be hitting against a 9, 10, and A when the count is 0.
But if I have A,2,5 I stand. My question was when do you hit a 3 or more card soft 18?
Theoretically, if the pack is very rich in low cards (particularly 2s, 3s, and Aces), you will sometimes hit against 2-6 and 8. SW�s Prof BJ gives some indices for this, and they are in the ballpark of -15.
Soft Hands come up very infrequently. Counts of -15 are very infrequent.
I don�t think Hi Lo is very efficient for making this play (because it treats the Ace as a high card). In short, the total gain from this play will be negligible.
