Help need some index numbers for double deck

Can't seem to find any index numbers for H17, DAS, DA2 double deck.

Specifically,

When the count is high, do I still split 6's vs 7, and 7's vs 8?  

I recently had a very high count, and had 6's vs 7.  I didn't know what to do, since BS says to split, but common sense told me not to.  I ended up losing both hands.


At what count do I stay, if I'm supposed to?

Any help would be greatly appreciated!!

The difference between splitting and hitting, 7,7 vs. 8 is minimal all the way from +3 to +14, at least.  It's a completely "flat" index, with virtually no extra edge accruing to the player as the count rises.  Bottom line:  split, but no big deal if you don't.

Wong gives no index for not splitting 6,6 vs. 7.  I think you should do it all the time, barring nothing left in the deck but tens!

Thanks for the response and the advice, Don!  Glad to know that I wasn't doing anything wrong by splitting up until now.  :)

 

Something about all these figures dont add up....

Oh that's right all these fractional instances "that do not matter" .5% here .7 percent there... .09 percent in a million other places.

Lets just not individualize things in an over all game. 

Lets add them all together and bibidy bobidy boo...you got the makings of a pretty crap system.

You could always tell for your yourself.  

Or you could say that all these figures the wizard, don, norm, doghand, Al, Wong...Or agent orange himself Mr. Smith by way of Norm...the pirate of them all are 1...they haven't yet figured out that all these small odds and fractionalize numbers dont make up a whole pie.  Or 2 their keeping them for themselves.  

So you decide being the masters of odds and variance...What do you think the odds are that they got their odds all wrong.

Them (and me among them) wrong? 0% chance.

You wrong? Hard to say since you haven't actually posted any details. My guess? 100% chance.



 

Is there much of a penalty using single-deck index numbers in a double deck game?

I am using Hi-Opt I with a side count of aces.

If you have them, you're better off using 4-deck or 6-deck numbers for DD than using SD.  SD is somewhat of a unique game, and its indices less resemble DD than do multi-deck ones.

I’ve read this a lot and therefore bought the cards from Kennith Smith for the different indexes for each game. The SD didn't look that different from the DD.  Are these cards accurate?  Besides the insurance index, what are the most important ones that are different than DD?

Bottom line, is there anything you can add to why SD is unique. Some new SD have opened near me and I’ve been playing them. No, they are not 6:5, but they only let you double on 11 and 10, and only split once. I’ve simmed them on cvcx and they still look like good games. I know PE is more important on SD so I want to make sure my index plays are correct.

I have looked at usung Hi Opt 1 with a side ace count on single deck, but I like your approach better. Thanks!
