Game Worth It?

According to CVBJ, this particular game at a casino near me has a +.61 advantage for the house, but, it says it has �Good Penetration� (I think the reason its +.61 to the house is because you�re not allowed to split aces, the game is question is also a 6 deck shoe with every other rule being regular rules). Is this game even worth playing? Will I be able to get myself into a +3 true count or more enough to actually beat the game while taking the losses during the -1 to +2 count while the house has the edge?

I have a team of 6 card counters, we all know the hi/lo and we have an �endless� bankroll, so we can theoretically put in the hours needed.

Does anyone know the math of, on average, how often the count is +1, +2, +3 etc, pure shoe.

the frequency of any given true count depends on the penetration. The deeper the penetration, the wider variety of plus and minus true counts you will get. Shallow penetration means that you spend most of your time between +1 and -1...the more shallow the pen the less volatile the count becomes.

Good Penetration for the game you describe (sounds like h17 das six deck) would be about a deck. If you're not getting at least 5 decks dealt from six, you've got a very very poor game overall.

you ask a very basic questions, you should know this things or atleast some of your team members should know it.You better know what are you doing before puting this "endless" bankroll at risk.

i realise im new, thats why im asking these sorts of questions... we're 6 college students who are willing to give card counting a shot my point with stating there are 6 of us was to point out that if the hours were nessicary they could be put in, more or less i was looking for the mathematical equation(s) for figureing out how often the count is +1, +2,+3 etc... but the critism is understood... and im not the guy from "blackjackforumonline". as for me being the "leader" im not really the leader, although it is my money were putting on the line thus id like to find out these answers, im sure ill be posting some more "newbie" questions, im just a lowley college student with a dream, so please bare with... thanks a ton - douglas

You have so much to learn, must contend with other inexperienced people who also have too much to learn, plus the team problems, and overall fewer and fewer places to play high enough to make it worthwhile for everyone. Just too many obstacles. Avoid teams whenever possible as there are just too many potential problems. Forget the whole thing.

for finding out what you want to know, you can only find this out by running a simulation. If you've got an unlimited bankroll, surely you can afford to buy CVCX and CV-Data.

The first thing you should probably do is to buy a good sim program.Since you are posting on internet I am assuming you own a computer or have access to one:-).I am using SBA others prefer Casino Verite, it is up to you.Toying with it, running many different sim with all kinds of betting spreads and rules will help you a lot.
There are many solid players on Green Chip with many years experience playing and managing BJ teams who are willing to help new players(bigplayer is one of them).Some of them do not spend much time on the free pages so you are way better of asking your questions on Green Chip.
Now about your "team".I personaly belive it is a very bad idea if none of you guys have played much BJ, you are better of to start alone.
If you realy want it and if you are tough enough mentaly you can make a lots of money playing BJ.

The best way to play this game is to wong in and out. You might also be able to use the bigplayer approach. You don't want to be playing when the count is -1 or less.

2: 7.29%
3: 3.16%
4: 2.27%
5: 0.90%
6: 0.68%
7: 0.23%
8: 0.18%
9+: 0.11%

Your other five college buddies will drain you. They are most likely on board because you have loads of cash. Not because they are good at BJ. When I was your age, all of my so-called friends took money from me.

There is a multitude of stuff to know before you tread down the path. You better learn it.

If you are serious, study, learn then play alone. Develop a team later.
