At this point in time I am entering my seventh staight month of losing at blackjack vaporizing half my bankroll. I also shoot craps and I have never experienced even as much as a losing month. I know Phil Ivey also shoots craps but doesn't play blackjack. I consider Ivey is not a player who would waste his time gambling at a game that has a high variance like 21.
I am on the extreme verge of dumping blackjack as a worthless endeavor.

Dealer: "Normally yes, but not the way that you play."

What point are you attempting to make?

My main point was to tell an amusing story.

My more subtle point is that it is possible to have a lower HE at craps (or just about anything else), than at Blackjack, if you are really really bad at playing the game of Blackjack.

While we are on the topic, may I ask what the point of your OP was? Were you bragging about your prowess at the game of craps, bemoaning your bad luck / lack of skill at Blackjack, or maybe recommending that others should follow your example and give up Blackjack so we can all concentrate on Craps?

Not true. Your post clearly insinuates that Blackjack is the only beatable game in a casino and that my current losing streak is the result of being a poor player.
Be that as it may, I have personally known many Blackjack APs that went bust at 21 and caused them to quit the game. Phil Ivey does not play Blackjack and he's probably one of the strongest APs in the world.
On top of that I find it ridiculuous to try to make a living fom a game that "will try your soul and test every fibre of your being."
The point of my OP? I leave that to the gallery to decide.

No, I rely completely on occult symbolisms of the Illuminati. I mean look closely and you will notice it's on all the U.S. currency.

My post didn't mention you, or your skill at any game. It relayed a funny comment that a dealer said, which has some truth to it.

I don't know if you are any good at BJ, or at Craps, or at anything else for that matter. You could be the master of everything you every attempted for all I know.

AP blackjack a worthless endeavor? Naah. For a (relatively) small investment of say 50K you can immediately start a profitable business. Sure you're going to lose a lot but it is what it is. You're going to win a lot too. I believe to open a McDonalds now costs over 1 million. To open any decent business you would probably need at least 350k and be prepared to be unprofitable for about 5 years. You favor craps. But my understanding is that to be an AP player at craps you must be throwing. And an awful lot of time you're not throwing. It sounds like you're asking too much of the game of blackjack.

I doubt he'd last long at any 21 table. And, how do you know he never plays blackjack?

If you play craps in a way that generates the lowest possible house advantage on your play the variance is higher than that of blackjack due to the majority of your action being paid odds. Long losing streaks at craps is far more likely that at blackjack if you're betting the same amounts of action and similar hours.

It makes no sense that you think you will beat craps in the long run. The last time I checked, there is a house advantage on craps.

If you continue to roll craps for any significant stakes, you will quit gambling or become a degenerate gambler before this year is over. Maybe you are already a degenerate gambler.

What probability do u put on P(losing month)?

Has it been a series of SMALL losing months?

I've seen some brutal runs. The gods of gambling can be cruel.
