Do I ever hit 16 vs 10 using BS

This is my first post.
I downloaded an app to practice BS on my IPAD and it is using a BS chart from blackjackinfo.com as it's database.
The BS strategy rule set is this:
6 decks, Dealer stands on soft 17, double any two cards, double after split allowed, late surrender, late peek.

This strategy card says to stand on 16 vs a dealers 10 if I cant surrender.
My situation is this:
I have 7,Ace vs dealer 10.
I hit my soft 18 and receive an 8 for a total of 16.
I believe that I should hit this hand against a dealer 10.

This app on my Ipod says that I should stand which I believe to be incorrect. I wrote the developer of the app and he said he based his app on the strategy card from the above site.

A finer point of BS is to stand on your 16 v. 10, when the 16 comprises three or more cards.

While it is not true that every such multi-card 16 v. 10 should not be hit, it is true on average, across ALL such multi-card 16s, and that is probably the BS being espoused by the app.

With single deck multi card 16 is better to stand on average as Don says. With multi deck one should hit. However it dosen't matter what you do you are going to lose your money.

Not sure where you got this notion, but it isn't true. See the footnote #1 in the BJA3 tables B9 through B12, pp. 486-489.

Except, of course a pair of 8's, which you would split. If it is allowed, surrender on 9,7 and 10,6, but stand on multi-card 16s.

Your advice is usually top notch but not this time. Ploppies will hit 16 but the key to their play is that you have to be CONSISTENT in hitting or not hitting your 16 vs. 10. Because the cards rememeber that the player in seat 3 hit his 16 last time. Of course, when new decks are brought in, those cards need to learn whether or not you hit your 16. It is a flaw in the casino system that the old decks do not talk to the new decks. Hopefully the pit bosses reading this board do not learn about this and take measures to correct the problem.

Hi-Lo works just fine for single deck, which is almost extinct except for northern Nevada. Be sure you're not playing the 6:5 ripoff game.

A played Ace counts as -1.

Any opinion on the SD game at Riviera?
