Agree (a bit long)
David I think your documentary is brilliant. I has broad appeal for civilians and is a must see for anyone involved in the casino industry from both sides of the fence.
The interviews were very well put together and as Cyrus said will become a collectors item.
The fact that you were able to obtain the interviews shows the respect that you have within the community.
I have never really understood why Andy Anderson is so reviled, now I see, he really is a fuckwit.
The most I have every paid for gambling related reference/training products is several hundred dollars for Casino Verite and roulette stuff by Laurance Scott your documentary is worth at least that to me.
On another note I have also recently viewed Casino Abuse of Skilled Players. This video left me very disturbed;
I have been thrown out of casinos around the world; my barings have always been done by senior management and always with courtesy and a degree of respect. Whenever I have read about rough treatment to players I always thought they probably brought it on themselves by being assholes or at least overly arrogant.
I see now this is not the case.
As a gaming risk consultant I make sure that casino personnel understand the distinction between those that affect the outcome of a game (cheating) and those that predict the outcome (advantage players).
I make it clear that advantage players should be respected for their skill, when all is said and done; advantage players are smarter than the people who designed the games in the first place. (This does not mean that they should be allowed to continue playing)
As for distributing photos and other player details, the jurys still out as far as I am concerned;
Advantage players share information to further their common cause, casinos do the same thing it makes sense to share information on threats of any description that are common to the industry.
The problem is that they do not make a distinction respectable and honest citizens are lumped together with bar flies and criminals.
I suspect that it is the information sharing agencies that are the rout of the problem; you can see this in Andersons attitude to advantage players.
The Griffin people and other information sharing bodies should be fought tooth and nail through the courts as long as they continue to besmirch honest citizens in this manner.
I would like to see a case brought against these people; at least it would bring the situation out in the open where it should be.
I would also like to see a fighting fund established whereby advantage players and other concerned citizens could donate to the cost of such actions; this could easily be set up using PayPal or something similar.
If I thought my consulting business was contributing to the physical abuse of anyone I would shut down tomorrow.
