I wanted to know from all the "KO" users, if you have customized it for only "positive counting". And if you have, do you find it easier to use at the table?
Do you find "customizing" KO for positive counts less of a mental challenge than using regular "KO" and having to flip-flop back & fourth from + to - when the count reaches zero/neutral (0)?

doesn't bother me to go from negative to positive--back and forth. The count might go 3,2,0,n2,n3,n1,0,2, etc. I need to remember the different Keys and Pivots for the different games, however. But, that seems very simple if we are also expected to remember basic strategy charts, indices, etc. A decent memory is vital to card counting, IMHO.

1D - 2,3,4 (Key count, Insurance, Pivot point)
2D - 5,7,8
6D - 16, 23, 24.
I have a hard time memorizing things. However, once memorized, I have an even harder time forgetting them. :-)
Maybe I should have said..Who has customized "KO" so the IRC starts @ 0 for shoe games.
It's still being customized for "positive" counting & desicision making.
6 in 1 hand. 1/2 dozen in the other.

Negative numbers give me fits and if you set the IRC at the same number for any number of decks you have to memorize 6 different numbers for insurance and pivot point (2 each for 1D, 2D and 6D) which is more than my pea brain can handle.
So......I set the pivot at 34 and insurance is always 33. The only thing that varies per the number of decks is the IRC and even I can remember that. It looks like this
(# of decks, IRC, Insurance, Pivot)
1D..........30 33 34
2D..........26 33 34
6D..........10 33 34
And you never get into negative numbers (and if you do you best be walking).

This is the method I use. Otherwise, with a six- or eight-deck shoe you're spending practically all your time in a negative running count. I'm adept at dealing with negative numbers, but there's no benefit to doing so. A number is negative or positive depending on its relationship to zero, and since there's nothing significant about zero in the 8-deck KO count, why bother?
Fortunately, I live in an area where there are plenty of decent games, and my answer to an 8 deck shoe is: Stay away!
However, if I had been forced to play an 8 deck game when I was using KO, Theef's numbers are what I would have used.
I will eventually start using those number's, but I've already remembered quite a few of the "KO Full" index number's for the 8 deck game and I would hate to start over again.
But, I will customize KO for the 4 & 6 deck game and use the IRC 0
Jumping back & fourth from - to + is a pain in the ass.
To bad I don't live in the land of "milk & honey" (Las Vegas). I too would love to play in 1 & 2 deck games. Damn these 8 deck shoes!
