Actually, all CSM machines are not random. They are just a mechanical device having one defect or another. It’s just a matter of who is using them. People here have posted this information.
If one Ace card is removed from a file of six decks in a One2six shuffler, this machine will not notice this missing card at all. No need to rig a shuffler to cheat players. However, this does mean they do not rig.
Really? I just don’t believe this. If the loaded deck in the shuffler is missing an Ace, the One2Six will not beep at all. If it is missing 35 cards, it will not beep either. The shuffler is just a wheel randomly spinning all the time.
The shuffle is a wheel, but it is not randomly spinning all the time. There is an algorithm for distributing the cards within the wheel on input and for selecting which slot in the wheel to eject when the exit buffer needs more cards. I know this because I have had access to someone with an actual machine which we studied together. This machine was able to detect missing cards (when full).
I watched several YouTube videos about this machine and believe your description about the algorithm of randoming cards is plausible. It must shuffle differently between one deck for poker and six decks for blackjack. Dealer sets the number of decks to be loaded into the shuffler, but the machine probably will not count how many cards it really has. I guess this provides the best opportunity for dealers to cheat, especially for blackjack games using multiple decks.
