Low rollers. less apt to be barred!
"While we are here, perhaps we should note that low rolling does indeed mean amateur if the low roller never moves up in stakes. I'm not saying low rollers do not have skills. Or that amateurs do not have skills. But low rollers who are professionals are not making close to the money they would be making if they were betting more. If you are a low roller for several years and consider yourself a professional, you are either doing something wrong or should remove the pretense of being a professional."
Math boy, it's not that I do not want to move up to higher limits like when I visit Tunica(great limits there) , it's that here in Reno, they aren't going to let one get away with playing quarters or a bill as the minimum on a consistent basis(every month or every other). I mean *If* one used Wong's technique(in Blackjack Secrets) of playing a casino 2-3 times in 24 hours or double frequency that in 48, then cycled back to the same place in a month or two: I think after about a year of less there would be two security Guards and a stern faced Pit boss saying "Sir, will you come with us(picture time!"
Reno's being hit hard by the Indian Casinos on the coast, it's dead through the week; even today. Counter's paradise *IF AND PROVIDNG* he can avoid taking too much in one battle.
By the way I spread on $5 - 500 limit tables all the way up to $400 occasionally $500 sometimes. *I am not low rolling with a $100 ceiling*.
I made $235 in a long session this morning(2.5 hours) with no heat; was labeled Progressionist or high roller by the joint. Phone did ring was not noticed; could have had a light or buzzer. Dang I hate those ploppies trying to fill up my table where I have to Move on SD!
