Reading some of the posts in the past it's no wonder many get barred.

I'd rather struggle around from 3-6 hours combined in 2-4 casinos in a day at SD, and pull down $300-500 everyday I play. than risk being too noticed and draw more suspicion toward my play.

$75-150 in each casino in a day does not rock the boat as badly as attention getting thousands made that day.

I play $5-10 dollar tables and have learned the 'trial & error' way to avoid the temperature rising.

Since the beginning of May, playing 3-5 days per week, I have encountered no losses; and have been given generous comps.

And NO, I do not adhere strictly to the count! That is a dead giveaway that will lead to barring even if I only made $50 per casino

If you're talking about what I think you're talking about, it works equally well at $25, $50 and $100 tables, and never any heat.

Think about it: it's a LOT easier to make $300/day or $500/day at $25 tables than when playing for nickels and dimes. Usually an hour or so per day does the trick.

I know I couldn�t possibly be as smart as you since I occasionally get backed off, but.....

Six weeks at average 4 days per week playing 4.5 hours average a day is about 100 hours total, giving up 0.5% to 1.0% EV and you haven�t had even a single loss. Have you considered that it may be too soon to determine if you�re playing a long term winning or losing game?

I find it very frustrating to grind away at a $5 table to win $150 when less than half the time at a $25 will do the trick. I have encountered some losses as a result of hitting a bad streak at quarter games, but I still boast a $5k+ win overall for '05. Considering that I've cut my play from 5+ times weekly to maybe 4 days a month, that's not bad.

The Count should simply simulate or simulate simply his prodigy and see what numbers are returned. Then tell everybody about it if it ends up a total sham. It will make us all feel better, too.

The point of gambling is to make money. It is not to last a long time without getting barred and get a few free meals along the way.

There is a reason people remain red and green chippers for several years. It is because they do not understand how to make money.

And I think your definition of "generous comps" might differ from mine! By the end of the year I should earn six figures in comps that are directly convertable to cash. On top of free food and such.

We are all happy you are doing so nicely. And how generous of you to point it out, especially to us low rollers.

At least here in Reno there aren't as many proportion-wise nor in numbers, $25 minimum tables.

And like a fellow poster points out, $25 minimum and up tables are COUNTER TRAPS as the EYE is on them and the PIT watches them like the 'shaggy sheep dog' looking for 'Wiley Coyote'.

When a dealer in a casino across town(who you have never seen) says "Don't you play a lot a Such and Such Casino?" You know the cameras must be sharing pictures and reputation portfolios so to speak within the area like a big related family.

Many Casinos have NO $25 minimum tables in Reno.

Some tables on the weekends have $100 to 1000 ranges; I think they know counters hit them and maybe they bar them when they are $5-15,000 in the hole some day.

I live in Reno, BJ is what I do. ***It's not a trip thing or once a month visit hobby.*** It's for blood, even if it is in drips not gallons!

BUT THIS BJ VAMPIRE AMATEUR(if you want to beleive that) has been playing several times a week for years. I DO NOT WANT the people from the Village(Casinos) getting angry and coming after me to drive a stake in my heart with their torches(escort me to the backroom for pictures) because I drained too much blood(too many chips siphoned off them)from their tables!

I'm not trying to run you guys down at all, many(if not most) on here are ultra knowledgeble. I'm just saying Vegas is 'Shoe mostly' because the owners of the 'golden gooses' are scared of ultra skilled counters. Espeacially those who take too many eggs from the golden goose all at once! You are totally right Math Boy, Reno CAN NOT even compare to Vegas, the Mississippi, maybe Atlantic City in comps and catering to players!

I used to have swings month's and months ago where I would Drop anywhere from $800 to $2000 in a session about once or twice a month.

But I started using what has been termed 'Count BlacjackJula's Voodoo' by a respected poster a few months back. **NO IT's not Voodoo***, but he liked the term.

I do not play unless **I know** I will win a specified amount between cetain time frames, i.e. like between 9am till 11:30 am.

But Yes, Old Coot from Viginia, but I doubt I could implement it as well on the Shoes in Vegas as well as in SD. Of Course, if I work it out with the Forum's co-operation; the MATH THAT is! The thread is a waste of time and anyone who's played the game with an advantage recognizes that you have no concept as to proper play.

I have studied(studied) Revere, Humble, Uston, Wong, Griffin, and a few I don't recall. I use them and follow most of their advice. I use 5 count, advanced Plus Minus, and Bs, with a modification. Revere mentions it, but he did not understand the mathematical riddle that his quote could and has formed a good hypothesis on how to alter BJ for greater and a safer game with the casino.

But all the great knowledge has brought the shoes to step harder on the counter.

I'd hate to see SD go extinct in Reno like it's going in Vegas.

But I have a method that has been proven by some of history's greatest scientist to insure my success; used over two thousand years.

Firstly, you ask for a quarter table. That is what higher stakes pros do. Heck, that is what higher stakes players do. I play shoes in places where all the shoes have minimums of about $3-$500. I ask for a quarter table and get $25-$3000 all the time. If you are very skilled at single deck, you can spread 1-2 and make decent money. If you get a black table in Reno, you could do reasonably well.

Beyond that point, even here you are thinking small. You say that you need to play single deck. You say that you need to play in Reno. If you played at bigger stakes you could travel to the good games and not have an overwhelming need to play single deck.

Three or four years ago, were you camping out in Wendover? They had the conditions you desire. I did, and experienced the worst lobster bisque known to man at the Salt Cellar (it isn't supposed to be chewy). Along with a Friday night promo where suited BJ's pay 2:1 and you could spread in black+. Have you checked out every casino from Reno to Wendover? If I lived in Reno I would have done so years ago. And I would recheck them every other year or so.

I know card counting pros who spend time in Reno. I know of very few higher stakes card counting pros who only play in one town.

If you are happy making around $40K a year and never having to travel, that is your choice. But lecturing people on cover is out of line when you are playing for red chips and have been for years.

Doing what I do, IF I dared play the $25 tables, it would not be in half the time grinding out $150. At $5 tables, it's around $150 as a score. At $25 tables it's five times that amount.

But the casino oven would be too hot for my comfort!

That's great! Are you playing SD or multi?

If I could safely play $25 on SD, my gross by this method would be higher than your 5K, but I'm sure I'd have to put in much more time with my method!
You are evidently a pure counter and make infrequent visits that works for you!
