Blackjack Hall of Fame

Anyone in the San Diego area should check out the Blackjack Hall of Fame in the Barona casino. It's located along the moving walkway between the casino and the parking structure. It has;

Pictures of Wong, Thorpe, Griffin, and many others.

Scrapbook of articles on the MIT team and other early pioneers.

Display cases full of early cheating devices like clips to hold cards, dice that can't roll a seven, and chip hiding gadgets.

Actual computers originally used in the 70's to beat blackjack. I really got a kick out of the one that looks like several car stereos linked together to form a belt along with the belt of acid batteries. According to the tag, one user was seriously scarred when the batteries leaked.

There are several shoes that were used as blackjack computers.

They even have the latest car alarm style blackjack computer on display.

Very cool stuff.

Regarding Halls of Fame (not certain if that is its exact name), this one is just great. Drop by and see it when in Tunica (or Robinsonville). It's near the lobby of the hotel.

It's a great presentation. The Tunica casinos are in Tunica County, but several miles from the town of Tunica.

They are more in the proximity of Robinsonville, which is the tiny town in which the Blues were born.

Also, at the other end of The Horseshoe at the entrance close to The Gold Strike is a nice little gambling display.

The Blues Museum at the crossroads in Clarksdale is excellent too. This is the same "Crossroads" you hear so much about in blues lore.
