If you have better people skills, poker is better.
If you have better math skills, Blackjack is better.
The biggest problem with Blackjack is the casinos hate you for it and you can't get comps without getting more heat, plus you get put in databases, and you lose future job opportunities to work for a casino. Also, the best days to play blackjack is on the weekends. Weekdays are subject to much greater casino heat, unless you are a low roller. If you get busted at a Caesars Entertainment property, you get banned from all their properties, which means you're not allowed at the World Series of Poker. You also don't get to gamble on long shots very often due to the high house edge (except occasionally on the Lucky Ladies, Royal Match, or similar countable side bets that give you a ton of casino heat if you get the top payout).
The advantages of blackjack: you know with absolute certainty your win rate and casinos will confirm that you are skilled, even when you're losing. It is also easier to be a blackjack card counter than to be a pro poker player. In blackjack, you get to hurt the casino's bottom line and put them in the position of being a sucker. Your victims will always be able to afford to pay you the amount the money you end up winning against them. It is also easier to practice your game with blackjack, because the dealer is a mindless robot and not a thinking poker player.
With poker, you can play any day/hour that poker is available. Some smaller card rooms offer poker as well. You get zero casino heat and earn comps because casinos love pro poker players. You can gain celebrity status, sponsorships and supports. Poker games also offer a bad beat jackpot that you can win.
Good luck becoming well respected in the public eye as a blackjack player (unless you're Ken Uston), and some games offer bad beat jackpots.
However, it is more difficult to know your advantage or win long term in poker, mistakes are more costly, people feel more guilty for taking money from poor or middle class people (some of whom are hopeless gambling addicts on the precipice of disaster) instead of casinos, the casino industry benefits from you contributing to their rake and bad beat jackpot, and the games get tougher to beat when you play at higher stakes (tougher poker players and higher likelihood of being cheated).
The best course of action is up to you to decide.
