BJ Road Trip - Help Requested

Hi All -

I'm an irregular poster who usually plays in Vegas or Louisiana. I'm considering a road trip this summer from Texas to Massachusetts, hitting the casinos in between. I'm hoping some of you might make my trip planning easier with your experiences and/or local expertise. I play BJ mainly, poker or horses as a secondary line.

I have yet to plan my final route, but it would most likely begin in Shreveport/Bossier, then move to Mississipi, then up the river into Missouri. After that I'm at a loss until I do more research. I haven't traveled in the midwest for some time.

I'm not looking for specific BJ conditions, but more so the following:

Locations of good casinos, and why you like them,

Locations of decent cheap motels near the casinos (internet connections a plus, low cost more important),

Schedules of open daily/weekly/monthly BJ or poker tournaments, heck add slot tourneys,

Casinos I would need to avoid.

Sign up for CBJN, it's worth the $15 to find the better games. It sounds like you have no real intention of using AP, so I'd suggest just driving as fast as possible to your destination and overall you'd save money by not losing at the casinos.

Of course I would be buying CBJN, that's a no brainer. I was hoping some of the midwest/East US locals or frequent travelers out there might give me some feedback and insight on places I haven't been to before.

I use K-O, play red, 1-6 spread on SD & DD, 1-10 on shoes, wonging in where possible. Since I likely won't be back to any of these places anytime soon I plan on spreading aggressively with minimal cover.

So, would anyone have any helpful experiences to put forward? Thanks.
