AO2 Indices

I want to refresh myself on the Ill 18 and other indices but I lost my Bryce Carlson book. Haven't been playing for years. I want to begin again. What is the best Internet source for AO2 Indices? It should be slightly different than the Basic Omega. I also can never seem to find a chart showing the differences between AO2 and BO. If I'm side counting aces, I need to know the exact index play deviation based on the TC of the main count and also accounting for a certain possible skew of aces up or down. A large skew of aces up or down should affect some play decisions.

Why play A0II when VAPC is easier and stronger? The indices are avilable too. My simple modification is to nullify the 9 and count 7s as +1.

For $14, it is a steal and has the tables for all the systems including AO2. You can set the common parameters like S17/H17 or DAS/NDAS and it will adjust the tables correctly.

I love having the indexes available in case I want to look up something while away from the tables.

Of course there is also the invaluable set of practice tools as well.

Here are the "Fabulous 18" indices:

Insurance >= 6
16v9 >= 7
16v10 >= 0
15v10 >= 6
13v2 >= -1
13v3 >= -3
12v2 >= 5
12v3 >= 2
12v4 >= 0
12v5 >= -2
12v6 >= -2 (>= -5 if H17)
10v10 >= 9
10vA >= 8
9v2 >= 4
9v7 >= 7
10,10v5 >= 9
10,10v6 >= 8

The Fab 18 account for 75% of the possible gain from strategy variation using AOII.

If you use all indices between -10 and +10, you will achieve 95% of the possible gain.

Basic Omega 2 has a chart for -6 and a chart for +6.
If count is <= -6, you go with the -6 chart.
If the count is >= 6, you go with the +6 chart.
Otherwise, play basic strategy for the number of decks and rules you're playing.

Never realized that, on p. 117, Bryce screwed up the name of the "Illustrious 18." Funny.

Thanks for the table of indices. However, I'm still not convinced it's for AO2. Perhaps it's for the Basic Omega? Perhaps they are the same for Ill 18/Fab 18? I will do some homework and take the advise of bigplayer and check this stuff at CV.

Here's another issue: Here are the numbers for AO2 or the like w/no ace side count;
BC .92 - PE .67 - IC .85
Given I cannot find the numbers for AO2 w/side count, I can sort of guess at what the numbers might be, such as;
BC .98 - PE .68 - IC .85

Anyone care to shed some light on this?

Can you really be sure it was a screw up?

I use Z/A0II for shoes and VAPC for pitch.

I looked it up in the book, read the page, then sat down and promptly forgot whether it was 117 or 127. Was too lazy to go back and look, so took a chance and just went with the 117, which I thought was right!

Can anyone confirm if these are correct for the Basic Omega II (below)? Wish I had more indices especially on the + side. Too much stuff to download at CV to get what I desire. Have limited space on my PC.
