I also miss the old days and the original format. Anyone remember the Rat Pack. Attended one of those way back when. Good times, better games, fun group.
Maverick makes a strong point. It would be nice to have one more green ship party. It would be enjoyable to see many of the old-timers here. After this crisis is over perhaps you and I can sit down and discuss the possibilities.
The biggest obstacle for a green chip party is the cost. Ad Hoc was able to have a party once a year for 12 years at a reasonable price. When I took over for Ad Hoc the cost went up every year for the venue and food. My thinking is when this crisis is behind us Vegas may reduce the cost to draw visitors back to Vegas. It may be possible for us to have a party at a reasonable price.
Perhaps you and I could twist Don's arm to make a presentation :-) :-) A presentation by Don would be awesome.

A green ship party is a great idea. Have to find one with a playable game. A bunch of AP's descending on the casino. A group of gamblers should be able to get the cruise comped. But then, the group will probably be thrown overboard.
(Sorry AceTen, couldn't resist.)

Short story. . I no longer remember all the details just the punch line. Many years ago we had a green ship party and a group of us hit a casino together. I believe the casino was Caesars, anyway we were all playing the same table. One of us got back off. The AP that got backed off circled the pit and sit down in the same seat. . It took the pit boss 10 min. to realize what he had done. You had to be there to realize how funny it was when the pit boss discovered what the AP did.
We have done the El Cortez
Marina, with the yacht in the lobby! :-) Desert Inn. Riviera (DD game, S17, DAS, LS, no cut card!!). Maxim!!
Nothing like those days. Never will be again. Sad.
