I've been trying to find a way to contact Bryce Carlson in order to ask some questions, but to no avail yet. I'm not a time waster. I'm a serious AOII user with Ace side count (and 7's side count for Super Sevens). So here's one I'd like to ask you guys (and maybe Bryce if I could):
Does anyone have a complete list of indices for Advanced Omega II Strategy - that is - a list that goes beyond Blackjack for Blood's + or -23 TC tables.
The reason I'm asking is that, playing blackjack, one gets to see some amazingly dumb plays, and sometimes they pay off (sometimes not). I sure saw some wierd stuff last night (DDown on s14v6 and Hit 17vA both won). Immediately, I dismiss these players as those who don't know what they are doing (and certainly not card counters). But then I got to thinking, "What better addition to one's camouflage arsenal than being able to play a "dumb" play with confidence, and who knows, maybe pull off a winning hand with it (except that it was the right play given that the count is really unusually high or low at the time). And if you lose, you may have lost anyway and you are immediately dismissed by all others as a 'gambler' who doesn't know what he is doing."
I realise that true counts that exceed + or -23 are unusual, but they do occasionally (though rarely) happen towards the end of the shoe. It would be nice to at least have a choice whether to take advantage of it or not. (Also, there must be occasions where DD with a player 2-card total of 7 would win! - and it would be nice to have that informed choice.) Having the complete picture (all the indices) would also increase one's understanding of all the percentage plays. It might also help throw people off the scent if you make borderline "dumb" plays with a low bet out occasionally. And then there's the option to just play it straight, as per the basic indices tables.
Hope someone can help me here.
Thanks, in anticipation.
Alan
