A doubt

Hi I'm Josue I just have this little doubt. In Beginning a game,the dealer cuts a six deck with a red or blue card. So where really playing with like about 4 decks. Ok, In what count should I start???. I mean if the back cards(the ones that aren't really played at all)have a count of let's say -7. So if I start at 0 and then I have a +7. The real count is 0.But I really I have a +7 and then I'm make a mistake. The count is 0 not +7. Should I start at 0 no matter that??. I really need to find the answer to that question. Thanks

Start at zero if that is where your count begins. Unseen cards are unseen cards, whether they are behind the cut card or in front of it.

Can hurt you. I Went to a local casino (Cache Creek) and I noticed that they only deal 4/6 decks. They cut off roughly 2-2.5 decks. There have been times the shoe ended with a +18 running count. I was pissed.

Obviously, poorly penetrated games are not good games to play. But that wasn't the poster's question. He wanted to know if he should adjust his initial running count based on the number of cards behind the cut card. For that purpose, they are just unseen cards.
