I know that actual details of conditions and such are on Green Chip. Right now, I'm just trying to find out if it's worth it to even seriously get back into BJ since the last time I played. From about 1999-2002, I was active on a large BJ team (with members from some of the original MIT crew) that played high stakes (bank roll about $700 K) with the big player/spotter method. I was also a member of Green Chip and used CBJN all the time, but I wasn't on the forum that much (team's request) and I don't remember my old handle.
The team dissolved around 2002 due to burnout from frequent Vegas trips, logistical issues and trust problems due to the team having members in two distant locations, and a general impression from the veterans that the Vegas conditions were continually deteriorating for high stakes play.
At the time, I was a grad student. I played as spotter mainly and occasionally as big player. I was essentially playing for salary, as my share of the total bankroll was insignificant. I enjoyed it and wish the team hadn't collapsed, and I'm curious if the team-style high stakes play is in good shape or bad shape now. The casino consolidations (Wynn, MGM, etc.) were pretty rough for us because of the information-sharing between casinos with the same ownership.
So, does anyone want to chime in with an opinion about Vegas in 2005 vs. Vegas in 2000 for team play?
Thanks.
