I get the feeling from reading most of these threads over the past month or so that I've been on here, that just about everybody is too paranoid about the casinos watching for card counters. Unless you are betting black chips there is no need to worry about it. Maybe some smaller casinos will watch the green a little closer but for the most part you need to take over 3000 to even be the slightest bit nervous.
Sure, there are stories about backoffs. Most of them you'll see when someone is too drunk or maybe being too obnoxious and argumentitive with other players. If you should get backed off be sure its for the right reason. You hear stories about car crashes too, are going to stop driving because you know a friend who was injured in a wreck?
Also, many of you have seen in my posts below I have discussed tipping. This free message board is not just for card counters. It is for everybody, non counter, even non-BS players. I started playing casino BJ long before I worked as a dealer, and I tipped my share. It is just common curtesy to tip something, it doesn't have to be your entire bankroll. Suppose you ate a meal at an expensive restarant and the waiter gave you standard service, nothing special, but brought your food, filled your drinks, and gave you a check. So you and your spouse spent 200 on the meal alone. Even though the service was just so so, wouldn't you feel compelled to give the waiter at the very least 10 bucks? You would like to feel welcomed back right? There is no difference here. I know who my regulars are and how much they tip. I know when I'm going to get stiffed. There is NO excuse for someone running up 300 to 4,000 or something crazy and just walking away. That is very insulting! You will be remembered and recieve absolutely no sympathy or good manners from me when lose next time. Now I will say there are bad dealers who shouldn't get a penny, and even as a dealer myself I've stiffed a couple dealers and waiters because of bad service.
It's your money and you can do with it as you will, but keep in mind that the core of a person paycheck that depends on tips will want to keep the good patrons and do whatever to get rid of the bad ones.
