I always read that the reason ploppies screw up our game is that they slow the game down : we just don't get in as many hands per hour, or however you measure it. This is very easy to see, even for newbs and novice counters alike. What I don't read anywhere is the fact that they steal our 20s and 21s whenever our big bets are out and thereby deprive us of our winning hands(I'm being unfair, I know). It might be a little selfish but I don't feel like sharing the good cards because that is the only time I have an advantage over the casino! It seems some days that whenever I have a max bet out I get a lousy stiff while the clueless ploppy at first base turns over a blackjack!!!! or a twenty!!!! So here's my question: since there are only so many good cards coming our way during a high count, doesn't it negatively affect our game to have to share these with other players? The good cards get used up more quickly when there are other players; how can this not affect our EV? Do I have this wrong? Thanks, 49.
